Day 1 of the Weekend Warrior will be in Spicewood on Lake Travis this year.
The start-finish-site will be on private property so please be respectful and keep early morning noise down so as not to disturb neighbors. Information on location for swimmer meet-up, parking issues, and paddler drop-in (different locations) will be forthcoming to those swimming on Friday.
Swimmers will be boated from the meetup area to the start site and finish at “meetup” area. Feel free to contact me with questions or LMK if I can help. As mentioned, more details coming soon.

VALENTINE LAKESIDE in Kingsland is our start-site and a great place to stay. Fun-loving Valentine hosts, Pat & Susan, offer swim rates for their kitchen apartment units & also offer RV hookups. The Valentine is the start site for Friday’s swim, and just “down the road a bit” (15-20 min.) from Sun. swims. Perfect base for weekend warriors.

SWIM THE CANYON
Sunday, 10/25/26 — Lake Marble Falls
~ 3.4 (5.5k) Weekend Warrior
Finish the weekend with a challenging swim under the Hwy. 281 Bridge, around the bend and through the 150-or-so million year old canyon. Passing towering cliff sides all the way to the buoys placed before Starke Dam . . . and then back to the park.
Swimmers and paddlers check-in at Lakeside Park beach area on the lake side of the community center. This year we will be staging toward the end of the peninsula. Parking is at end of parking lot that runs next to pool and Community Center.
